The Redskins* found another way to lose another football game last Sunday against Carolina. Our young runner dropped the ball on the one-inch line and our young Qback overthrew a man in the end zone and one headed for the end zone. Final score, Carolina 20, Redskins 17. Was Carolina supposed to win? Probably, they are a good team. They have a good record. They have a good defense who put a good push on the opposing Qback. And a good offense with an excellent running game and a solid passing game. For the Redskins it was a frustrating loss because they know to-a-man they were in a position to win and they did not.
The Redskins’ pass protection returned to a poor state again. I did see a Redskins’ O-lineman help Ramsey up…once. He got knocked down probably close to 20 times. Same ol’ same ol’. Maybe that is why he probably had his worse game of the season. The pounding is mounting up.
This week the Redskins get to travel to Miami for a nationally televised Sunday night game. Miami has it’s own problems. From what little I have read, and the stats seem to bare it out, the Miami O-line appears to be suspect. Maybe our D-line will play a game and put some pressure on their team for a change. That would be fun. Their Qback situation is muddled, and it seems Ricky Williams is running up hill. The Redskins have not won in Miami in a very long time. This Sunday would be a good day to start.
Hopefully it will an entertaining game to watch, especially from the Redskins’ side.
The Redskins still need to win. GO SKINS!!!
