This week’s Six Pack is considerably shorter than usual. Frankly, I had to drink five more than usual after suffering through one of the worst Redskin performances of All-Time last Sunday.
This week, the Redskins will travel to Chicago, facing a team with great pride and character, a good defense and a rookie-QB. The Bears don’t match up with any other team in the NFL on a scale of talent. The one and only Superstar on the team is Brian Urlacher. This team has managed to win six games, including a stunning victory at Denver and a would-be TD catch swiped from the hands of Minnesota’s Randy Moss last week. The Bears have HEART. Many teams lack talent, most teams lack heart and the Redskins lacked both this past Sunday. In Chicago, the Redskins have a chance to rebound, a chance to show their pride, a chance to show their respect for their coach – and a chance at partial redemption.
As we look forward to the 2004 NFL Draft, scour the waiver-wire and free-agent market we remain Redskin Fans. Only the most true fans remain, and we sincerely appreciate you!
Happy Holidays!
