On Saturday, August 6 2005, theHogs.net teamed up with the Freedom Grill, Inc. and Isaac’s Restaurant to compete in the ATA/Ball Park Franks Pre-Season Tailgate Challenge.
The event, sponsored by the American Tailgate Association and Ball Park Franks at the Redskins – Ravens Scrimmage game at Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium, marked the debut of theHogs.net Official Tailgate Party sponsored by Freedom Grill and Isaac’s Restaurant.
Last season, THN began its official tailgate party at FedEx Field prior to every regular season home game. As part of that tailgate party, the Hogettes made the effort before each game to make the long journey from the green lot to the red lot to interact with fans and spread good cheer to all, as they always do. This year, THN will integrate with the Hogettes tailgate party in an effort to provide an experience of a lifetime to Redskin fans everywhere.
In an effort to further enhance the experience, THN has entered into two key partnerships that will allow our members, as well as any other Redskin fans in attendance, to enjoy the tailgating experience to the fullest.
Freedom Grill, Inc. has provided THN with their patented FG-100 grill. Anyone who has one of these grills will understand the excitement, as these are full-size grills that attach to the trailer hitch of your car, truck or SUV allowing the same ease of use as the grill in your backyard, with the same convenience as a portable grill.
“Freedom Grill is very excited to work with TheHogs.net in order to bring extreme tailgating to FedEx Field. These guys are serious tailgaters and we are serious about grilling,” said Steve Glor, Freedom Grill’s Vice President of Marketing. “Cooking with the Freedom Grill, these Redskin fans can stand tall while they grill and there’s more room in their cars for important stuff like the Hogettes. It’s a match made in heaven…Hog Heaven.”
Also partnering with THN is Isaac’s Restaurant — the place to eat in Southern Maryland. They offer fine dining, top quality food and friendly service at affordable prices. Their Seafood Newberg is delightful, and their weekend seafood buffet will knock your socks off. Isaac’s will be helping THN by providing the food, as well as people to help prepare and serve the food.
