Buffalo Bills

2005 Results: 5-15, 4th in AFC East
2006 Projected Cap Status: $67,400,000

2005 Season Recap:

QB J.P. Losman struggled all year and was replaced by Kelly Holcomb on more than one occasion. WR Roscoe Parrish missed the first half of the season with a broken wrist, but showed potential late in the season. Team leader OLB Takeo Spikes went down with a torn Achilles tendon in Week 3 and the Bills once prominent Defense fell to #29 in the league. To add to Bills fans troubles Ralph Wilson blew up the front office and went retro with Marv Levy in as GM. Dick Jauron was brought in to coach the team and he’ll have to decide what to do with the team’s free agents and evaluate talent for the draft.

Team Needs:

1. Wide receiver: Bringing back Josh Reed who has struggled is the only option to go along with Lee Evans if Parrish fades. Eric Moulds is gone and a suitable replacement is a must

2. Defensive line: Buffalo was next to last place in the rankings last season in stopping the run. Sam Adams, Ron Edwards and Justin Bannan are all gone and only DT Larry Tripplett. As been signed

3. Offensive line: Can’t think of anybody on that line that should be brought back

2006 Draft Picks:
1st Round –8th Overall

Free agency status:

FRANCHISE PLAYER: CB Nate Clements

UFA: QB Shane Matthews; C Trey Teague; CB Kevin Thomas, OG Lawrence Smith
ERFA: CB Jabari Greer; OT Jason Peters; WR Jonathan Smith; RB Shaud Williams.
