The following is a list of the 2008 Draft trades going into the off-season. The list was compiled from several different reputable sources, but it is still an unofficial list.
First round
Browns to Cowboys. The Cleveland Browns traded their first-round selection in the 2008 Draft to the Dallas Cowboys, as well as the 36th overall selection in the 2007 Draft (later traded to the Philadelphia Eagles, used to select Kevin Kolb) in exchange for the 22nd overall selection in 2007 (used to select Brady Quinn).
49ers to Patriots. The San Francisco 49ers traded their first-round pick in 2008 to the New England Patriots, as well as the 110th overall selection in 2007 (traded to the Oakland Raiders for Randy Moss) in exchange for the 28th overall selection in 2007 (used to select Joe Staley).
Colts to 49ers. The Indianapolis Colts traded their first-round selection in 2008 to San Francisco, as well as the 126th overall selection in 2007 (used to select Dashon Goldson) in exchange for the 42nd overall selection in 2007 (used to select Tony Ugoh).
Second round
Texans to Falcons. The Houston Texans traded their second-round pick in 2008 to the Atlanta Falcons, as well as the 8th and 39th overall selections in 2007 (used to select Jamaal Anderson and Justin Blalock, respectively) in exchange for the 10th overall selection in 2007 (used to select Amobi Okoye) and Matt Schaub.
Chargers to Dolphins. The San Diego Chargers traded their second-round pick in 2008 to the Miami Dolphins for Chris Chambers.
Third round
Chargers to Bears. San Diego traded their third-round pick in 2008 to the Chicago Bears, as well as the 62nd, 93rd, and 167th overall selections in 2007 (used to select Dan Bazuin, Garrett Wolfe and Kevin Payne, respectively) in exchange for the 37th overall selection in 2007 (used to select Eric Weddle).
Raiders to Patriots. Oakland traded their third-round pick in 2008 to New England, as well as the 211th overall selection in 2007 (used to select Oscar Lua) in exchange for the 91st overall selection in 2007 (used to select Mario Henderson).
Ravens to Bills. The Baltimore Ravens traded their third-round pick in 2008 to the Buffalo Bills, as well as the 92nd and 239th overall selections in 2007 (used to select Trent Edwards and C. J. Ah You, respectively) in exchange for Willis McGahee.
Broncos to Vikings. The Denver Broncos traded their third-round pick in 2008 to the Minnesota Vikings, as well as the 176th and 233rd overall selections in 2007 for the 121st selection in 2007 (used to select DT Marcus Thomas).
Fourth round
Redskins to Broncos. Washington traded its fourth-round selection in 2008, and its third-round selection in 2007 (used to select Ryan Harris) as part of a three-team trade in which Washington received T.J. Duckett and Atlanta received Ashley Lelie. (This was the result of a formula which could have had Denver and Washington swapping 2007 first-round selections.)
Fifth round
Dolphins to Chiefs. Miami (conditionally) traded its fifth-round pick in 2008 to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for Trent Green. The selection would have become a fourth-round selection if Green had met certain performance criteria.
Bears to Bills. Chicago (conditionally) traded their fifth-round pick in 2008 to Buffalo in exchange for Darwin Walker. The round of the selection may change, depending on Walker’s playing time.
Panthers to Bears. The Carolina Panthers traded their fifth-round pick in 2008 to Chicago in exchange for Chris Harris.
Raiders to Broncos. Oakland (conditionally) traded their fifth-round pick in 2008 to the Denver Broncos in exchange for Gerard Warren.
Sixth round
Seahawks to Browns. The Seattle Seahawks traded their sixth-round pick in 2008 to Cleveland in exchange for Charlie Frye.
Packers to Giants. The Green Bay Packers traded their sixth-round pick in 2008 to the New York Giants in exchange for running back Ryan Grant.
A Broncos-to-Rams trade was forfeited due to Jimmy Kennedy not making the Broncos’ roster. (would have been a 6th round choice).
Seventh round
Steelers to Falcons. Atlanta traded kick and punt returner Allen Rossum to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a 7th round pick in the 2008 NFL Draft
Undisclosed picks
Giants to Chiefs. Kansas City traded kicker Lawrence Tynes to the New York Giants for an undisclosed conditional draft pick.
Titans to Seahawks. Tennessee traded an undisclosed draft pick in 2008 to Seattle for defensive end Bryce Fisher.
Buccaneers to Chiefs. Tampa Bay traded two different undisclosed draft picks for 2008 to the Kansas City Chiefs for nose tackle Ryan Sims and running back Michael Bennett.
Buccaneers to Broncos. Tampa Bay traded a conditional 2008 draft pick to the Denver Broncos for the rights to quarterback Jake Plummer. If Plummer, who is currently retired, reports to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before the first pick of the 2008 draft is made, the Buccaneers will send the Denver Broncos their fourth-round selection. Otherwise, Denver will receive Tampa’s seventh-round selection.
Picks Used or Forfeited
Patriots first-round pick. As penalty for videotaping defensive signals in their season opener against the New York Jets, the Patriots forfeited their first-round pick since they qualified for the playoffs; they would have lost their second- and third-round picks if they had not. (They will keep the pick acquired from the 49ers.)
Chargers fourth-round pick. The Chargers used this pick in the 2007 Supplemental Draft to select Paul Oliver.
Ravens fifth-round pick. The Ravens used this pick in the 2007 Supplemental Draft to select Jared Gaither.
