Washington Commanders

Jon Jansen joins Team Cam on NFL.com. Some snippets:

… when asked about the offensive differences between week one and week four:

“You see a team that’s very confident in both phases of our offense.”

… on the competitiveness of the NFC East:

“Top to bottom this is definitely the best NFC East division since I’ve been here.”

… On opening up the playbook – does it take a few games with a new coach and a new system?

“Typically it does. Typically it may even take a whole season.”

  1. Jansen is a really likable person. He stepped up for us on Sunday and I think he is taking his demotion in stride. He seems to be a consummate team player and a true Redskins. Even if he is considered “second string,” he is still a leader on the team and a consummate pro.

  2. I actually thought that it was kind of in poor taste that they never even asked Jansen about getting the start. I get that it was a ‘generic’ interview about the NFC East, but I don’t think it would have killed anyone to throw in a question about JJ’s personal role…
