It was a big win for the Redskins on Sunday over the Charger – they kept pace with the rest of the NFC East. Here is a look at some of the more interesting statistics and numbers from Washington’s thrilling 30-24 overtime victory:

500 – Total net yards of offense for the Redskins to 410 yards for the Chargers

341 – Yards passing for Philip Rivers with two touchdowns and two interceptions [29 of 46]

291 – Yards passing for Robert Griffin III –  [23 of 32]

209 – Yards rushing for the Redskins, to just 69 yards for the Chargers

172 – Yards receiving for Pierre Garcon, on just 7 receptions, in one of the best games for a Redskins receiver in recent memory. He had 3 gains of 30 yards or more [38,32,30].

121 – Yards rushing for  Alfred Morris on 25 carries, with one touchdown

71 – Percent third down conversion rate for the Redskins – 12 of 17 – stout! 33 Percent for the Chargers  [3 of 9]

40 – Minutes time of possession for the Redskins, to just under 26 minutes for the Chargers

13 – Tackles for London Fletcher the tackling machine – 7 solo, 6 assisted.

7 – Penalties for both teams; 63 yards for the Chargers 65 for the Redskins, pretty much a wash

6 – Different Washington Redskins ran the ball versus the chargers

3 – Touchdown runs on 5 carries for Darrel Young, including the game inner in overtime. Congratulations DY.

2 – Blocked field goals? 2? Washington Special teams playing like the short bus gang.

2 – Interceptions by Washington – EJ Biggers and rookie David Amerson, who added 6 tackles and was nominated for rookie of the week honors
