DeSean Jackson reports to Redskins park for off-season workouts

News Washington Commanders

After spending last week on a vacation, DeSean Jackson reported to Redskins park on Monday for off-season workouts. He had planned the vacation before being released by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Jackson signed with the Redskins on April 2nd, and is expected to be the game changing receiver and deep threat for this upcoming season and beyond.

Voluntary Workouts

The workouts at Redskins Park that began last Monday, are voluntary, so it’s great that Jackson is in the facility early, putting in the work and meeting his new teammates.

The first two weeks consist of conditioning and strength training, so Jackson didn’t miss any on-field work.

Also with new Redskins head coach Jay Gruden on board, the players have to learn the playbook. So after not being there for the first week of the off-season program, the receiver does have a bit of catching up to do.

Not only did he workout with his new teammates today, he also got to catch his first passes from Robert Griffin III.

They are working on getting acclimated with one another, as they prepare to shed defenses with the deep ball in 2014.
