Former Redskins defensive end Jarvis Jenkins signed a one-year deal with the Bears, according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.
#Bears have agreed to terms with DE Jarvis Jenkins on a 1-year contract. It will be official after he passes his physical later today.

Jenkins is the fifth Redskins unrestricted free agent to leave this offseason, following the departures of linebacker Brian Orakpo to the Titans, wide receiver Leonard Hankerson to the Atlanta Falcons, and running back Roy Helu Jr. signed with the Oakland Raiders. Safety Ryan Clark retired.
Jenkins just never panned out as hoped. He started with a bang, with an eye-opening 2011 training Camp and a couple of stellar preseason performances. Disaster struck in the third preseason game, when Jenkins tore his ACL thus ending his season. He never seemed to re-gain the form that he showed in that first training camp. He didn’t shrivel like a violet by any means, and last year played in all 16 games and made 28 tackles.
Perhaps a change of scenery will prove positive for Jenkins.
