Commanders Vs Browns: Inactive Lists
By Mark Solway | January 1st, 2023
It’s Week 17 of the 2022 NFL season. The Washington Commanders will face off against the Cleveland Browns on New Year’s Day in Landover.
The game might not have any meaning for the Cleveland Browns, but the Commanders are still very much in the playoff hunt.
Here is a list of both teams’ inactives:
Washington Commanders
OL Saahdiq Charles
RB Antonio Gibson
DE James Smith-Williams
S Kam Curl
CB Benjamin St-Juste
QB Sam Howell
OL Chris Paul
Cleveland Browns
QB Kellen Mond
RB Demetric Felton
CB Thomas Graham Jr.
DT Ben Stille
DE Isaiah Thomas
OL Chris Hubbard
DT Tommy Togiai
Commanders Notables
Chase Young will start today. With James Smith-Williams out with a concussion, Young will be expected to carry the whole load. He played very well last week in his 2022 debut. Hopefully he has the stamina to go the entire game.
Kam Curl AND Benjamin St. Juste are not available today. That makes Washington’s often questionable secondary even that much more questionable.
Antonio Gibson is also not available today for the Commanders. How will Brian Robinson Jr. respond to carrying the whole load for Washington? Probably very well given his performances so far this season.
Browns Notables
For Cleveland, defensive end Jadeveon Clowney was questionable coming in, but will play. That’s a big plus for the Brown’s run defense.
Game Information
The Commanders and Browns will kickoff at 1:00 p.m. at Fed Ex Field.
