Tuesday Hog Wash

As Redskin fans spent Monday pouring over article after article about the Redskins mini-camp that came to a close on Sunday, one thing that seems painfully obvious, Robert Griffin III blew the doors off of his first NFL on-field assignment.

Sunday was the first opportunity that the media were granted access to Mini-Camp, so all eyes were focused squarely on the new Redskins quarterback, and that usually means just one thing in Washington – scrutiny. And yet in a city that seems to love to hate as much as it loves to love, very few souls seem willing to venture out into that gentle abyss and rock the RGIII boat – at least not yet.

McNabb Been Hit With The Stupid Stick?

Every time I read something new that Donovan McNabb has said, a little vein in my forehead protrudes and I start to get this little headache.

I want to first say that when the Redskins brought Donovan McNabb to the team in April of 2010, I was initially kind of excited. After all, sure he was getting a little long in the tooth, but I had watched him beat up my team twice a year for most of the last decade.

We all know how that worked out. The result was me actually being marginally more excited when he left last summer, than when he arrived. I’m sure there are many in Redskins Nation that would share a fairly common experience with #5.

Hog Wire: 4/4/12

What’s going on in Redskins Nation this week?

New Nike Uniforms
The Nike unveiling yesterday left a lot of people feeling unfulfilled. Seriously? When the veil was finally lifted, the Redskins uniform that was revealed was basically identical to the Reebok version. Shut the McHell Up Donovan

Listening to former Redskins pretend quarterback Donovan McNabb cry like a nine-year old girl with a scuffed knee, is really too rich for words. But it made me think back on a little Redskins anecdote…

… Back in 2003, I was fortunate enough to attend a fan festival put on by Ken Harvey. It was a great day for all involved – access to legendary former Redskins, games to play, inspirational speeches, coaching instruction and much, much more. It was a fantastic day that I still remember like it was yesterday.

Musings from Curmudgeon Corner 4/5/2010

Posted from Curmudgeon Corner, Maine

I’m worried. I’m uncharacteristically optimistic. That frightens me, a bit.

Yesterday evening, the Eagles and Redskins finalized a deal, sending future Hall of Fame quarterback, Donovan McNabb to the Redskins in exchange for the 37th pick this year, and the Redskins’ 4 round pick next year (3rd round of certain performance measures are reached by McNabb).

Leftovers – Week 10

Andre

In this week’s edition of Leftovers, Andre Carter clears the air about his role on the team, how frustrating the Lions loss was, what kind of impact Brandon Banks’ injury could have if he doesn’t play against the Eagles, and what he thought of Coach Shanahan’s reasons behind benching Donovan McNabb.

Keep in mind the Brandon Banks questions were asked before Coach Shanahan said that there’s a chance he may play Monday night against the Eagles.
