By The Numbers: Redskins vs Cardinals

Here are some of the more important numbers and statistics from the Redskins 30-20 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

407 – Yards of total offense for the Redskins. The Cardinals had 317.

354 – Yards passing for Kirk Cousins, on a 24 for 38 day; unfortunately 3 of those 14 incompletions were actually completions to Arizona Cardinals.

250 – Yards passing for Carson Palmer, who returned from a 5-game absence due to a nerve injury in his shoulder. He was 28 of 44, with 0 interceptions and 2 touchdowns.

Who’s Laughin’ Now?

For those who read my last blog about Grossman (Redskins Start With Grossman) you’ll note I kind of predicted this last weekend’s performance.

For the game, Grossman was 21 of 34 (62% completion) for 305 yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions (though one was close) and one fumble. While Antrel Rolle may whine about how the Giants would beat the Redskins “95 out of 100 times” Rolle has failed to recognize that we didn’t beat New York because our offense was better; we beat them because our defense was.

Twitter Me This

Twitter and the NFL shared a lot of news headlines this week. It was inevitable; things like Twitter and Facebook updates, bring the world to Joe Q. Public in almost real time. There’s good and there’s bad with that.
