Flashback Friday: Lavar Arrington Takes Out Troy Aikman

It was 21 years ago today – December 10th, 2000 – that Lavar Arrington put a hit on Troy Aikman that would prove to be Troy’s last.

This blog isn’t to glorify an injury. Not at all. It was just a significant moment in the Washington | Dallas rivalry.

Aikman was running out of bounds and throwing the ball away on the play, but Lavar finished the hit as he should. There was nothing dirty or malicious about it. It was just a strong football play.

But if you want to trigger a Cowboys fan and see them turn salty, just mention this play.

Throwback Thursday: 2000 NFL Draft

No more sleeps… it’s nearly time.

Lavar Goes Off!

Lavar Arrington is a passionate dude. Have any doubts? Read on.

I’ve spent too much time trying to defend the guy, and trying to tell other Redskin fans how right he often is, to do so again here. Some like him, some don’t. That’s up to the individual.

But the clip of him going off about Clinton Portis is quite simply the best rant I’ve ever heard on a radio show. Ever.

Twitter Me That

Last week I wrote a blog called Twitter Me This, that detailed three separate incidents in the NFL last week. It was of particular interest to Redskin fans, because of the involvement of rookie Robert Henson – a now retired
